Welcome to the home of the 4th Uckfield (Holy Cross) Scout Group.
The Group was formed in 1933 as a Church Scout Group and, although no longer sponsored by the local church, still proudly bears the name in recognition of its origins.
We provide an exceptionally high quality Scouting experience, focusing on traditional Scouting skills with an emphasis on fun, and run three Beaver Colonies, three Cub Packs, two Scouts Troops and also host the District Explorer Scout Unit, the 272 Explorers.
Scouting has a positive impact on young people, offering fun and friendship, challenge and adventure to girls and boys in the area and recognised as providing an early start to a successful and confident life.
For more information on each Section, please see the links above. Joining is arranged through our Waiting List Coordinator, rather than through the individual Section Leaders so, if you have a child interested in joining our Group, please drop them a line by clicking here.
Our Headquarters is based in a purpose built, modern building with a large hall, modern fitted kitchen, meeting room and ample car parking, all set in extensive secure grounds comprising large grassed areas and woodlands just off Rocks Park Road.
The Headquarters is available for hire to both businesses and for private parties at very reasonable hourly rates when not being used for Scouting – enquiries can be made by clicking here.
